First off let me say something – awful album. The rappers (dont really want to learn their names) have terrible flows. The only real significance this has is that its probably one of the first examples of a “nerdcore” hip hop album. Nerd-core basically means worse beats and rapping about computers and science. I dont even remember where i got this from. probably searching for commodore 64 stuff one time. I wont torture you with many tracks…. but i guess you have to give these guys credit for doing some original, albeit shitty music back in 1999.
please dont listen to this song. its garbage.
Its Time for Food (rhymes) might be the best track off the album. a common topic – rhymes and mcs are food so gobble down and spit up. This kinda reminds of a cross between Themselves and Beastie Boys. Its got that anticon ethereal beat thing going on, and they sound like terrible nerdy beastie boys. at least one of them admits it “i cant rap worth shit – somebody save me”. you know what i hate this. they suck.

I’ve been in a serious house mode as of late and i ran across this gem by Friendly Fires. The track is called Paris, it was remixed by Belgium natives Aeroplane. The main part of this track that keeps this shit on repeat is the vocals that are done by indie/pop group Au Revoir Simone of Brooklyn, NY.
I recommend checking out Au Revoir Simone’s “The Bird Of Music” if you dig this track… Though A.R.S.’s record is cutesy indie/pop it’ll grab you like a Mates of State record would 4 years ago. The combination between A.R.S.’s sexy vocals and the perfected simplicity of Aeroplane’s producing style you can’t go wrong here & you won’t.
